  1. Fry bacon or salt pork and add potatoes cut into small cubes. Add salt & pepper and onion. Add celery and/or carrots here, if desired. Add salt & pepper and clams (do not drain). Add water to cover. Cook until tender. Add butter and evaporated milk. Thicken with milk & flour to desired consistency. Garnish with paprika and parsley.
