"I created this drink from the memories of a trip to Hawaii, where I met my (now) husband. Surprisingly, it does get chilly in Hawaii, especially at night and in cold, rainy regions. This is a different take on the usual cold and frozen Hawaiian libations."

  1. Add half and half, milk, sugar and cocoa powder to medium sauce pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Whisk continuously until dry cocoa powder incorporates into half and half and sugar has dissolved.
  3. When steaming, remove from heat.
  4. Whisk in vanilla extract, coconut emulsion and salt.
  5. Pour into glasses. Top with whipped cream, and then shredded coconut.
