"This chili comes out with just the right amount of heat for my family. Its a long way from the tomato sauce and pork and beans chili my mom made for me when I was a kid! I serve this over top of mashed potatoes... only way to eat chili, in my opinion."

  1. Combine the puree, crushed tomatoes, salsa, chili powder and beef in a large pot. Cook on medium-high til boiling. Reduce heat to allow it to simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
  2. Add beans, cook for an additional half hour.
