  1. In a large, heavy pot, brown ground beef until cooked through and no longer pink.
  2. Drain and discard oil.
  3. Add onion and oil (if needed)and continue cooking until onion is translucent.
  4. Open and add all canned beans and tomatoes with their juices. Even the bean juice goes in the pot.
  5. Gently stir to mix all ingredients and simmer over medium low heat for about 15 minutes to blend flavors.
  6. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
