  1. Make a simple syrup in a small sauce pan by combining sugar with 1/3 cup of water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool.
  2. Puree the watermelon and raspberries with the remaining water in a blender until smooth.
  3. Pour into a frosty pitcher and stir in simple syrup and lemon juice. Chill for at least one hour.
  4. Serve over ice.
