Set out about 2 feet of wax paper on the table or counter top.
In a large pan melt butter, adding sugar and milk, bring to boil stirring often, boil for about 90 seconds stirring constantly. While still on heat mix in remaining ingredients. Mix quickly and remove from heat as soon as things are incorporated. Place pan on hot pad next to wax paper.
Immediately, using two large table spoons, use one to scoop, and the other to scrape the cookie off the first spoon onto the wax paper. Repeat until the pan is clean. Work quickly but not frantically, as the longer it cools in the pan the quicker it will set up and crumble when you scoop it. The last few cookies may need a little hand shaping.
Allow people to eat them immediately, or store in an airtight container.
