  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees f.
  2. Wash and tear the stems out of your portabellas and place caps upside-down (making them into little bowls for your pizza toppings) on a lightly oiled non-stick cookie sheet.
  3. Apply a few tablespoons of your favorite pizza or pasta sauce to the underside of the caps and spread to the edges making sure the entire base is covered in a light layer of sauce.
  4. Next, add your Mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bacon, lean ground beef, and any other toppings you wish to add, saving the spinach and red bell pepper choppings for last.
  5. Sprinkle with Parmeasan cheese to taste.
  6. Pop it in the oven! Bake for 12-14 minutes, checking often, or until your mushrooms are tender and juicy.
  7. During the last 5 minutes of baking, I typically add an extra coating of both Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses right on top, so they melt nicely.
  8. Most important step: Enjoy!!
