  1. Place frozen potatoes into a bowl and thaw in microwave for two to three minutes.
  2. To the thawed potatoes add the sour cream, shredded cheese, both cans of soup, 2 Tbsp of melted butter and salt, pepper, thyme, marjoram, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste. Mix well.
  3. Crush the corn flakes into crumbs, and then stir in remaining 2 Tbsp of melted butter.
  4. Spread potato mixture into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
  5. Evenly spread the corn flake mixture over the top of the potatoes.
  6. Cover the pan with tin foil and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
