"This is an easy dish that I adapted from a non-slow cooker recipe. Slow cooking keeps the chicken moist. Neither the chicken or the sauce is pink or red; this dish is not sweet and the garlic dissolves giving this dish a great flavor. Serve with mashed potatoes and a colorful veggie."
Place chopped garlic in the bottom of a slow cooker. Layer quartered and sliced onion on top of the garlic. Pour in red wine. Salt and pepper top side of chicken and place on top of the onion. Chicken can be fresh or frozen. Sprinkle brown sugar on top of the chicken. Cook on low 5-6 hours.
