  1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add ribs in two batches and brown on both sides. Transfer to 4qt or larger slow cooker.
  2. Layer sliced apples then sauerkraut (with juice) overribs. Sprinkle remaining ingredients over sauerkraut.
  3. Cook on low 5-6 hours
