  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Chop cranberries in half and set aside in a small bowl
  3. In a large mixing bowl put butter and sugar together combining until they begin to form a dough
  4. Add eggs to the dough and stir until eggs are incorporated into the mixture and dough becomes smooth and liquifies
  5. Stir in the chopped cranberries and oatmeal together mixing until well blended
  6. Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir together to assure that leavening agents are well mixed into the flour
  7. Put the dry ingredients into the cookie dough a small amount at a time and mix until flour is absorbed into the sticky dough
  8. Lightly flour hands and take a small amount of dough rolling into a ball placing two inches apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and press with a fork
  9. Bake for approximately 10 minutes and then remove from oven and cool on a wire rack
