  1. Melt butter, stir in flour and salt until smooth, add milk and stir constantly over medium heat until thickened. Add cheese.
  2. Combine cracker crumbs and almonds.
  3. In a buttered casserole, layer asparagus, cracker mixture and sauce. Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes
