Carmelized Onion Gravy

"I use this recipe for Bangers and Mash. Adapted from For the sausage, use brautwurst if you don't have English sausage. Boil for 20 min, then fry until browned. Serve with mashed potatoes."

  1. On med high heat heat oil, add onions and toss to coat. Lower heat to med and cook, untouched, 15 minutes. Flip, cook another 15 min. Lower heat to low and cook until brown, about 15 more min.
  2. Add flour, toss to coat. Pour in beef stock, and deglaze pan. Bring to simmer, reduce heat. Add butter, stir well and remove from heat.
