  1. 1. mix warm water, sugar, and yeast let sit for 5-10 minutes until creamy.
  2. 2. add butter and mix well. Add salt and 1/2 cup flour until mixed.
  3. 3. Start adding 1 cup of flour at a time until a ball forms.
  4. 4. Knead on a floured surface for about 10mminutes or allow your stand mixer with a dough hook do it for you.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a well oiled bowl and place it in a warm draftless place until doubled in size (about 1 hour)
  6. 6. punch down the dough and let it rest for about 10 minutes. Split into two loaves and roll out and shape into loaves. place in well oiled bread pans place in warm place for about 30-40 minutes.
  7. 7. bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. remove from pans and put on a wire rack.
