Superlative Pumpkin Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 3 regular (9x5) loaf pans.
  2. Combine sugar, 2/3 c. water, oil, pumpkin, and eggs and beat well. In a separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients. Add dry ingredient mixture to wet, a little at a time. Add raisins and nuts.
  3. Bake in loaf pants for one hour, or when an inserted toothpick or skewer comes out cleanly.
