  1. Heat oil in a large pot. Add the onion,celery,carrot,bay leaf,and parsley. Cook till vegetables are tender. About 10 minutes. Add the rest of the ingrediants to the pot (except the pasta). Cook covered for 15 minutes. Then add the 1 cup of pasta and cook for another 15 minutes.
