In a large bowl mix together meat,milk,egg,bread crumbs, Worcestershire,and spices. Mix together well but don't over mix. Make mixture into large balls and then flatten into medium thick patties.
In a heavy oven proof skillet pour just enough oil to coat the pan bottom and heat on med high heat. Place patties in hot pan and lower heat to medium. Cook about 5 to 10 minutes each side to get them nice and brown,don't flatten the patties while cooking.
While the patties are browning mix together water,sour cream,and flour. Mix til smooth and set aside.
Once the patties are browned remove them from the pan, drain the fat from the pan trying to keep the meat drippings in the pan.Return the pan to the heat and melt the 2 TBSP of butter and add your onions cooking until they are just getting soft add the mushrooms and cook a minute or 2 more. Carefully pour rum into the hot pan and let it cook about 5 minutes add in the sour cream mixture and mix well let it heat through. Return the patties to the pan cover with the gravy mixture.
Tightly cover with a lid or foil and place in the oven for 30 minutes until meat is cooked through.
Prepare the egg noodles as directed on the package.
Place noodles on the plate and place the pattie on top covering it all with the gravy mixture. Sprinkle with paprika if you desire. Serve hot
