Gluten-Free Chocolate Pudding Pie

"I grew up with my mom making chocolate pudding pie for holidays. Since being diagnosed with Celiacs, I have missed it. I searched and searched and finally found a winner. This uses gluten-free Oreos, and is so good. My whole family loves it. It's now my traditional chocolate pudding pie."

Original recipe yields 12 servings

  1. PLACE cookies in large resealable plastic bag; press bag to remove excess air, then seal bag. Use rolling pin to crush cookies to form fine crumbs.
  2. ADD butter; squeeze bag to evenly moisten crumbs.
  3. PRESS crumb mixture onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate sprayed with cooking spray. Use immediately or refrigerate until ready to fill.
  4. Beat milk and pudding mix with whisk for 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in ½ cool whip and all but 3 tablespoons candy
  6. Spoon into crust
  7. Top with remaining cool whip and candy
