Banana Walnut Bread with Chocolate Chips


"So delicious and great with vanilla ice cream. This is a new family favorite!! Took me awhile, but after reading reviews on a bunch of different recipes on this site I came up with my own version. I love learning from all the cooks around the world!!"

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In mixing bowl, add butter, brown sugar, baking soda and baking powder, mix well. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, and using sifter, sift flour, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg together. Add to butter mixture. Add in lemon juice and bananas. Mash together. slowly stir in sour cream. Set aside.
  4. Finely chop walnuts, add to mixture. Finely chop chocolate chips, add to mixture. Mix well.
  5. Use 5 disposable muffin tins. Spray with non-stick cooking spray. Use ladle to fill tins. Evenly disburse banana mixture in the 5 tins.
  6. In preheated oven, cook at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in tin for 5-10 minutes then move to cooling rack.
