"This is an original recipe of mine and the precooking of the ribs in the oven works well. To cook the ribs on the grill requires finesse. I cook my ribs with indirect heat and add cherry wood to the coals to really smoke the meat well."
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the dry ingredients together and rub into the spare ribs. Let the ribs set for 30 minutes. Place ribs in a large dutch oven or deep casserole dish and pour the can of beer and enough water to cover the ribs. Pour the liquid smoke over the ribs. Cover and bake in the oven 1 hour. Start charcoal in grill. When coals are ready place the ribs on the grill and cook for approximately 1 hour. Remove ribs from the grill and apply favorite barbeque sauce.
