  1. Put chocolate bar pieces, chocolate chips, and marshmallow cream in a large heat-proof bowl.
  2. In a LARGE pan, bring the sugar, milk, and salt to a boil for 4 1/2 minutes.
  3. Carefully add vanilla to the pot.
  4. Pour half the mixture over the chocolate and blend well. Then pour in the remaining half.
  5. Add nuts if desired and pour into a buttered 9x13 pan.
