  1. Sift flour, sugar and salt into large bowl. Beat the egg and combine with vinegar and water. Using pastry cutter, cut shortning into flour mixture until it resembles cornmeal. Sprinkle egg mixture ove flour mixture. Mix all together, working quickly. Divide into 4 equal portions. Using hands, gather each portion and form into ball. Fold wax paper around each ball , place in refrigerator at least 1 hour.
  2. Place dough on 15 inch piece of waxpaper, and place another 15 inch piece of waxpaper on top of the dough, aligning with the bottom layer. Roll into circle to fit pie pan, remove top wax paper, slide hand under bottom of dough and flip into pan. Carefully peel off wax paper and trim to fit pan. Can be kept in refigerator 1 week or can be frozen.


I forgot to say that you need to spray the pie pan with a non-stick spray. Also, mix this in a large glass mixing bowl. Metal is not good when using vinegar. And lastly, do NOT sprinkle flour on...
