1. Heat oven to 400f. Combine butter,sugar and almond extract in large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed ,scraping bowl often, until creamy. Reduce speed to low; add all remaining cookie ingredients. Beat until well mixed.
2. Roll dough into 1-inch balls ; place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Flatten balls to 1/4 inch thickness with the bottom of buttered glass dipped sugar. Bake 7 to 9 mins or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 1 min; remove cookie sheets. Cool completely.
3. Stir together all glaze ingredients in small bowl with wire whisk. Drcorate cooled cookies with glaze and sliced alomonds.
