"Soft, buttery, cinnamon-y cookies that are sure to please little ones. Great for get-togethers or as an activity for kids. This is straight out of my book of recipes I have been putting together - I probably derived this recipe from a different website originally, but I always tweak it after I see the first product."

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Mix butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs thoroughly in a large bowl.
  3. Combine flour, cream of tartar, salt, and baking soda in a separate bowl.
  4. Blend dry ingredients into first mixture.
  5. Chill dough, and chill an ungreased cookie sheet for about 20 minutes
  6. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. (Add Cinn/Sugar to taste preference)
  7. With your hands, roll dough into 1 inch balls.
  8. Roll dough balls in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  9. Place on cold cookie sheet, bake 9 minutes.
  10. Remove from pan immediately after baking.
