  1. To make at least one thing simple, you can buy the crust or if you are up to it, you can bake a fresh one.
  2. How to cook the fresh pumpkin:
  3. First, cut 3 small pumpkins in half and pull out the middle. Then place the pumpkin halves in boiling water. One important thing to know about this is the fact that the water should not be above the rim of the pumpkin half. Boil the halves until they are soft. IF the water runs out, hurry and place more water in until the pumpkins are soft enough to get the rest of the center out of the shell. Be careful, these will be hot but for the most part, the pumpkin will easily come out of the shell without much work. You do not need the shell so you can throw that away when you are done tearing up the middle section. Finally, puree the cooked pumpkin.
  4. To make the pumpkin pie:
  5. Mix all ingredients together. It does not matter the order in which you put them in. Each ingredient will vary based on what you like for taste. Then pour batter into the pie shells.
