  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain off fat.
  2. Using fork, crumble the ground beef into pea sized pieces.
  3. In a large pot, combine the beef plus all the remaining ingredients, and bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook, stirring occasionally for 2-3 hours. Or add beef and remaining ingredients to slow cooker and simmer on low 8-10 hours.


I cut this recipe in half; used all kidney beans and a can of stewed tomatoes. I made it today for dinner tomorrow ( we think it always tastes better the next day); but had to taste it. Love...
