  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two 9 inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl combine cocoa powder and chocolate, pour boiling water over and whisk until smooth; add buttermilk
  3. In another bowl combine the dry ingredients except for sugars.
  4. In another bowl combine the oil, egg, sugars, and vanilla
  5. Add the chocolate and dry ingredient mixtures to the egg mixture; Beat until blended (batter will be thin).
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the two pans. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes, or until a cake tester comes out clean.
