In a large pot, cut up ribs into bite sized pieces. Add garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cover with water and boil for 1 hour on medium high. You can skim the scum or not.
Preheat oven to 325. With a slotted spoon or skill, remove each piece of rib and put it on a large stoneware sheet. Discard the rib water and use the pot to mix your sauce. Pour over ribs. Cover with foil and place in oven for 1 1/2 hours or so.
Flip ribs over part way so they can brown evenly. When temp reads 160. Cool slightly and eat.
