"I prepare this the night before and store in the refrigerator in a covered bowl. Then I dump everything in the Crockpot before heading to work. Walk in the door to a wonderful savory stew that goes great with a fresh loaf of french bread to sop up every drop."

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef with the garlic and onion until no longer pink. Add other ingredients. Wash the veggies - leave the skins on, chop and add to the pot. Stir - cover and cook on low for 8 hours. (I keep a small bowl in the freezer that I dump leftover veggies from other meals. This bowl of assorted veggies gets dumped in 30 minutes before serving.) A trick to get the grandkids to eat is to puree veggies and hide them in the pot!
