  1. Oven 375°
  2. Combine all ingredients in large mixer bowl. Mix at low speed of mixer until a dough forms. 1 to 2 minutes. Roll out, one-third at a time, on well-floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with floured cookie cutters or pastry wheel. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375° for 6 to 9 minutes. Decorate with colored sugars.
  3. Note: I mix some powered sugar with the flour on the surface where I’m rolling the dough. Cookies freeze very well.
  4. Cream Butter Frosting
  5. Combine ¼ cup soft butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 pound (3 ½ cups) confectioners’ sugar and 1/3 cup milk. Beat until of spreading consistency.
  6. Note: I take a small amount and add food coloring to it. To make it stiffer, I add some flour.
