  1. In a pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and brown the meat, onions and garlic together.
  2. Add the red wine, reduce heat to medium and cook the wine until reduced by about a third to a half.
  3. Add the tomato sauce and spices and reduce heat to low.
  4. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve warm with noodles of your choice, such as spinach tagliatelle or penne.
