  1. Gently pull back corn husk, and remove silk. Brush the silk threads off if necessary. Lay husks back in place and put ears into a clean sink, cover with cold water and soak for at least 1/2 hour.
  2. Cut 6 lengths of string 3ft-4ft long and soak with corn. Mix 1/4 cup of oil and seasoning on a plate. Drain water, and pull back husks from corn.
  3. Roll corn in oil mixture, if you'd like, sprinkle more seasoning over top.
  4. Take a slice of bacon, and wrap it around the corn like a barber pole.
  5. Fold husks back, over bacon and corn, and tie them into place with string.
  6. Put on smoker or over indirect heat on grill at approx. 250 degrees for 1 1/2 hrs or until bacon is fully cooked and corn is tender.
  7. Cut string off, peel back husks and use them to hold corn and eat with or without butter.
