  1. Place the corned beef, vegatbles, and seasonings (except the cabbage) in a soup pot.
  2. Cover with water, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour
  3. Quarter the cabbage and add to the pot, adding water if necessary.
  4. Let simmer for another hour and a half untl cabbage and meat is tender.
