"This quick and easy vegetarian stir fry tastes just like my favorite restaurant dish. Broccoli is stir fried and then covered with a classic Chinese-style brown sauce and served over rice. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to taste. Makes 4 servings."

  1. Mix together ingredients for marinade and add mock duck, stirring to coat. Set aside.
  2. Mix together ingredients for sauce and set aside.
  3. Pour 2/3 cup water in a large frying pan. Add broccoli. Cook uncovered over high heat, stirring frequently. Cook until most of the water has evaporated and broccoli is just starting to become tender (has turned a darker green).
  4. Add sauce and stir to completely coat the broccoli. Cook over medium heat until broccoli is slightly more tender (but still slightly crisp) and sauce has thickened considerably.
  5. Meanwhile, in a separate small frying pan, cook mock duck mixture until heated through and marinade has thickened considerably, stirring frequently.
  6. Add mock duck to broccoli mixture and stir until combined.
  7. Serve over hot cooked rice and chow mein noodles.
