  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In large skillet, brown ground beef; drain.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning, water, corn, green pepper, and tomato sauce; pour mixture into 2-quart casserole.
  4. In small bowl, prepare corn muffin mix according to package directions; stir in 1/2 can French fried onions.
  5. Spoon corn muffin batter around edge of beef mixture.
  6. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until corn bread is done.
  7. Top corn bread with cheese and remaining onions; bake, uncovered 1 to 3 minutes or until onions are golden brown.
