"A silky smooth, super easy and surprisingly good soup with lots of ways to personalize it by adding simple ingredients! I created this recipe for my daughter when she was thrown from a horse and had her jaw wired shut. I was surprised at just how luscious it was and then started thinking of was to make it for "grown folk" was a huge hit!"

  1. Place the bread on a cookie sheet and top with cheese. Please pan into the oven on Broil until cheese is melted and edges of bread are beginning to toast (about 2 minutes).
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the tomato soup according to instructions, using water, milk, or beer as desired and heat it through (simmer gently for a few minutes if using beer to let the alcohol evaporate).
  3. Pour warmed soup into a blender, add the cheese toast, firmly cap the blender with the lid, and starting on low, begin to puree. After a moment, increase blender speed to high and blend until silky (a minute or less).
  4. Season as desired and serve!
