  1. Sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until onion begins to turn translucent in vegetable oil.
  2. Add the rest of the spices and cook until onion is soft.
  3. Add blueberries and brown sugar, increase the heat to medium.
  4. Mash the berries as they begin to cook. Use an immersion blender to reach the desired texture.
  5. Reduce the heat and cook until the desired consistency is reached.
