Hot Noodles with Shrimp

still a little italian 1

"A quick, easy, and tasty meal that is highly adaptable to personal preferences. My mom taught me the basic recipe and I expanded it into something me and my family enjoy. Cayenne pepper can be substituted in place of the red pepper. Please feel free to substitute in your favorite herbs and spices, and change the meat to your desired preferences. We have added scallops and used a variety of spices but this is my basic version."

  1. 1) Cook pasta in boiling, salted water until al dente (adding a small amount of olive oil will help keep the noodles from sticking together)
  2. 2)Heat 3/4 olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic, red pepper flakes, Sazón, and parsley and cook until garlic is lightly browned.
  3. 3)Remove from heat and add shrimp
  4. 4) Drain pasta, reserving 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid, and place pasta in a bowl for tossing and serving. Add olive oil and shrimp mixture and toss. Add the reserved cooking liquid if mixture seems dry. Serve immediately.
