Fancy Tropical Bean Salad

"Inspired by a three bean salad recipe from, I gave it a tropical twist by adding pigeon peas, black beans, hearts of palm, and nopalitos (cactus). For the pigeon peas you might have to visit a grocery store frequented by Caribbean or Latin American folk. They are widely available here in Puerto Rico but I have never looked for them elsewhere. The nopalitos should be found among the Mexican food items in the international section."
