  1. Preheat your oven to 350F. Prepare a 8x4in loaf pan.
  2. 1. Mix flour, baking soda, salt and ground ginger in a medium bowl.
  3. 2. Whisk in a large bowl the egg and brown sugar together, then add the buttermilk, oil and vanilla.
  4. 3. Gently stir the dry ingredients into the wet. Add the rhubarb, strawberry and almonds and mix until just combined.
  5. 4. Scrape batter into prepared tin. Bake in the center of the oven for 70 to 75 minutes. Insert a cake tester to insure it is done. The tester should come out clean.
