  1. Place potatoes in slow cooker. Combine flour, sugar and pepper in a freezer bag. Toss steak, two pieces at a time, in flour mixture to coat. Cover potatoes with steak pieces. Thoroughly combine soup mix and beer and pour over steak, being careful to moisten all. Cook on low for 8 - 10 hours. Thicken juices into gravy, if needed or desired.
