  1. Bring water, tomato soup, mushroom soup, diced tomatoes and tomato paste to a boil in a large, heavy pot over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 mins.
  2. Add small amounts of cheese at a time, whisking to blend evenly.
  3. Add garlic powder, oregano, Worcestershire and dairy last. Bring soup back to a boil over medium heat, reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 mins.
  4. Remove from heat and keep covered.
  5. Garnish with croutons and a sprig of basil, parsley, or cilantro.
