"To me, the great thing about chili is that allows for some creativity. You can play around a lot with the recipe. Everyone has their own chili recipe and they can vary a lot, but are all still recognizable as CHILI. This is the recipe I use for chili. The measurements are approximate. Ingredients can be adjusted for less heat (or more!)."

  1. Dice onions, peppers, and mince garlic. Toss all into large stock pot or dutch oven with a little vegetable oil to sautee on medium to high heat.
  2. When veggies begin to sweat, add meat and brown it up.
  3. Add can of tomatoes and tomato sauce.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 min.
  5. Then add all three of your beans and Dr Pepper.
  6. Let simmer for another 15 min. Add spices little a time while it simmers until it is to your liking.
