  1. In a medium saucepan beat egg whites slightly.
  2. Stir in evaporated milk, sugar and light butter.
  3. Cook and stir over medium heat for about 10-12 mins., or until thickened and bubbly – careful not to burn mixture.
  4. Stir in coconut and walnut pieces.
  5. Allow to thoroughly cool and spread on each cake layer. Stack the layers and then coat the sides of your heart healthy German Chocolate Cake.
