Basic Cheese Fondue Recipe

  1. Rub garlic inside the fondue pot then discard
  2. Pour the broth, wine and lemon juice into pot and turn on the burner.
  3. Let it warm up without boiling
  4. Reduce heat and add the shredded cheeses.
  5. With a wooden spoon, mix well and stir regularly (it takes a few minutes for it to melt and blend completely)
  6. Dilute the cornstarch in the 2 tbs of broth and add to the pot.
  7. Add pepper to taste
  8. If the mixtures is too hard, add broth or wine (if add more wine, it will be stronger so depends of taste). If mixture is too soft, add cheese.
  9. Dip bite sizes pieces of bread (Italian or French bread is best) and/or veggies and I know Leah likes apples too.
  10. Let the freshly dipped pieces cool off for a few seconds before eating since it will be hot. Enjoy!
  11. *You should have a little more broth, wine and cheese on hand to adjust the consistency if needed.
