"A classic picnic salad with a kick of fiber. You can opt to keep the sunflower seeds in the recipe if you like but the cereal adds a bit of color and crunch."

  1. In skillet over medium high heat melt butter. Add cereal and Ramen noodle pieces and saute until golden. Remove from heat until completely cooled.
  2. Combine shredded cabbage and green onions to taste.
  3. For the dressing, in small bowl mix the oil, vinegar, sugar, season packets and soy sauce. Wisk until thoroughly combined.
  4. Once the noodle mixture is cooled combine with the cabbage mixture. If serving immediately add dressing. If preparing ahead of time, refrigerate the salad and dressing separately. The longer the dressing in on the less crisp the salad will be.
