  1. Bring one cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add cranberries and boil for 10 minutes.
  2. Add the rest of ingredients to saucepan. Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and sauce has thickened slightly – about 30 minutes.
