Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rinse thawed chicken with cold water then pat try with paper towels. Make sure chicken is completely dry on the outside. This makes it easier to coat the chicken.
In a large bowl, mix margarine, thyme, parsley, garlic salt, rosemary, and pepper together. Rub the outside of the chicken with the margerine mixture completely. Take any leftover margerine and stuff it inside the bird.
Cook the chicken in a glass baking dish for two hours. Make sure the baking dish is large enough to give the chicken plenty of room, so juices don't drip out of the dish
