  1. Add sugar to shortening gradually, beating until light and fluffy. Add cooked yolks (which have been pressed through a wire sieve).
  2. Blend in milk and dry ingredients, alternating, to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Add green food coloring, if desired.
  3. Press into wreath shapes with cookie press. Sprinkle with green sugar, if desired, and place red hots.
  4. Bake at 375° for 6 to 8 minutes.
