  1. Devein collards
  2. Stack leaves and roll
  3. cut in 1 inch strips
  4. wash collards
  5. place in large pot with above ingredients
  6. fill pot with water until collards start to float
  7. bring to a boil, covered
  8. reduce heat and cook on low heat for 3 hrs, covered
  9. stir occaisionally.
